And The Bride Wore Blue Sequin Shoes!

A lovely client of The Purple Bedroom, Katie, recently got married in a pair of blue sequin shoes that she purchased from the store.

She was kind enough to invite me to the wedding(presumably to see the shoes in action) but sadly I couldn’t make it. However she sent me a pic of said shoes in action. Katie looked amazing and I am happy to report that the shoes were a hit!

Vintage Nightwear: A History

There was a lovely post on Queens of Vintage a couple of days ago regarding the lost art of wearing beautiful nightwear.

Most of us are concerned with comfort, not beauty when it comes to sleeping attire. I myself was guilty of this until a few years ago when I found one of my mums gorgeous full length vintage nighties with a divine floral print on the bust. Whenever I slip it on I instantly feel glamorous and now I hope you can too with these little babies!

Easter Trading Hours

The Purple Bedroom will be having a little rest over Easter. The store will close 6.30pm this Thursday night and open as usual at 11am on Tuesday 6th April.

Also the fantastic new Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones has just opened at The Queensland Art Gallery featuring a hat from Christian Dior’s first collection as well as many more amazing pieces, so be sure to check it out.
